Position Summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining AWS IaC environments that support mission-critical applications and enterprise-scale platforms. This onsite role requires deep hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, AWS Platform Services, Automation, Gitlab and modern DevOps practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
Build reusable Terraform modules, manage state, and enforce standards.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
Support AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS/ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch.
Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues, perform RCA, and implement corrective actions.
Improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce toil and improve automation.
Ensure cloud security best practices and participate in on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineering Experience: Terraform Pipeline Expertise; Template design, parameterization, nested stacks Environment provisioning via IaC Secrets, configuration, and tagging strategy
5+ years AWS Infrastructure: EC2 provisioning, AMIs, Auto Scaling Groups (ASGs) ALB, NLB, Target Groups, and health checks Route 53 DNS management and routing policies. VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, routing tables Security Groups, NACLs, and VPC endpoints WAF implementation and rule management
3+ years of Gitlab experience: Git workflows (branching, PR strategy, merges) GitLab pipelines (stages, runners, artifacts) Automated deployments and testing integration Blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments
3+ years of Automation & Scripting: Build automation using Python, including Lambdas Automate infrastructure tasks and maintenance Reduce manual operational overhead through scripting
